CEMENT
2023
Moving Image Work

Cement is a collaboration between filmmaker Eva Otsing and choreographer Marni Green.

It investigates the desensitisation we experience from living in urban spaces.

For the first time in history, over half of the world's population, including 90% of Australians, resides in urban areas. Inspired by the director's personal background in Väike-Õismäe, a brutalist suburb in Estonia, Cement features brutalist architectural elements and delves into the enduring impacts of such a formative environment.

CEMENT premiered at the St Kilda Film Festival in 2024.

The Appraisal
2025
Short Film

Inspired by theatre plays, The Appraisal tells a story of two women who meet at a house appraisal. Grace's estranged mother has recently passed away and she is now selling her valuables. Carol arrives to take stock of everything, and soon discovers there's more to the story. The Appraisal shows the two women at a point in their lives where much of the real story has happened before the actual appraisal.
