Suitsuahi
2022
The fish smoking oven. Smoking flounder is one of the most common delicacies in Estonia. However, the fish reserves have dramatically reduced in the last 20 years, and flounder abundances declined by 46–97% from the 1990s. This signifies the overall large-scale environmental change in the Baltic Sea due to eutrophication, climate change, over-exploitation and habitat destruction.

Sillamäe
2022
During the Soviet Occupation in Estonia (1944–1991), Sillamäe was settled by the Russian factory workers at Silllamäe uranium extraction plant. In the years of 1950–1989, the plant produced about 98,681 tonnes of uranium. During its operations, the Sillamäe plant dumped the processing wastes into a tailing pond at the north-western part of Sillamäe near the Baltic Sea shoreline.
