Photographed on board of a deep-sea fishing trawler back in 2016 during a storm. The chaos of the sea seemed to me the perfect allegory of the turmoil I was experiencing due to loss. The photographs taken during the storm also make me think of the quote by Thich Nhat Hanh, 'Enlightenment is when the wave realises that it is the ocean.'
